No, it is not about the banging u had in the car last night.
It's The Big Bang. The theory that explains why i'm here typing while you're there reading.
No again, I'm not talking about physics. Since there's a request for Brian May, I guess I'll give it a shot.
Brian May is one of the great masters who make you run to the mirror and look at your own lobster face to reflect on what you've done for your whole life.
Sometimes you wonder, how do these masters achieve so much in their lives? And that's the purpose of having idols- to inspire you and push yourself to a higher level, not to waste your money sending sms to 8tv to support them although you know their singing suck and their faces look worse than feces. 中低极天团,狗粪一大团!
Brian May is the lead guitarist of Queen famous for his "delay" which creates an illusion of multiple guitars playing at the same time. He uses only 1 guitar and no delay machine to create that effect, try it and see how difficult that can be. Trust me, it's more difficult than licking your ears using your tongue.
Unless, of course, if you're licking somebody else's ears.
Music wise, there's nothing much to elaborate as his achievements speak for themselves. How many people have stood on the very top of Buckingham Palace and play a song there?
He had. With a pair of Nike snickers.
Have you? Have I? The most you and I could do was just to take silly pictures with the cool foot guards who wear bear skin hats on the outside of the palace.
The origin of our universe is always the question I've been asking. I bet many of us are interested in it.
I had a teacher who told me on my first lesson of science,
"As a scientist gets deeper and deeper into his researches on the origin of life, he will be more and more religious because his findings will show him there are too many things which can only be explained by hypothesizing that there's a Creator who created everything"
I was reading extensively for the past few months on space, big bang, different planets, the universe and stuff like those to research for the 2nd part of my blog post on Nibiru which I promised to write. I came across this book "Bang! The Complete History of the Universe." written by 3 men.
One of the writers is Brian May. I was surprised but not too surprised because I've heard him talking about his career as a astrophysicist in interviews.
I did a quick check on his academic background and found his Ph.D thesis titled A Survey of Radial Velocities in the Zodiacal Dust Cloud (2008). He started this thesis 36 years ago, then he quit for his music career and last year he's back to the thesis and completed it.
Don't dream of understanding the title if you didn't even pass your Physics paper in SPM. Come on, with today's standard of SPM marking, it is not too easy not to get an A for physics.
While some of you are happy that so many people get straight A's in recent years' SPM, you have to really think about the reason why this happens. But I can tell you for sure , it's not because of the new students being cleverer after drinking Dutch Lady's newly formulated milk powder enriched with DHA, SA, AA and fortified with tryptophan.
I'm afraid the "people" behind these encouraging statistics never really thought about the long term negative effects of creating so many straight A students.
The students and their parents might be happy for 1 whole month but they've got the illusion that they are fit students in fact they are not and they start applying for courses which they themselves can't handle. In the end, who are the victims ?? Everyone becomes a victim.
Brian May is also the current Chancellor of Liverpool John Moores University. Haha, yeah....the university which many TAR college students go for the 3-month Europe travel package organized by TAR college.
How many university chancellors in this world are members of legendary international rock bands with a long rocker hair??
This post will not be complete without a song by Brian. A song in remembrance of Freddie Mercury.
Hey, this is for you.
